These communication aids were designed by myself, Dick Wulf.  I am a professional counselor and psychotherapist with over 40 years experience helping individuals, marriages, families, groups and teams. I am 63 years old, have been married for 40 years, and have three daughters and three grandchildren. I am also a published author and game designer .

My family did good. We were written up in a half-page newspaper article many years ago when my three daughters were in grade school.

A parent's job is to make sure that at age 18 each of the kids can go out into the world and be successful. The best parents make certain that their kids have as many skills as possible and might be necessary. For example, one of the most important skills we want our kids to leave home with is that of being able to do chores they don't like to do over and over again for years with a positive attitude. For example, this would include the critical skill of being able to do a good job of washing the dishes while thinking of other things at the same time.
