The SAFETY TEST Audiotape

There are 150 safety responses taught in the 15 games. On the Safety Test Audiotape, we have recorded the first part of each response with a 15 second delay before the second part. This corresponds to the breaks in the games.

For example, one of the 150 would be read as follows:

If someone threatens you if you tell what he or she did to you, be . . .
[15 second pause]
. . . brave and tell someone you know who will protect you.

After kids have played the games a number of times, they should listen to the audiotape in your presence and try to complete the safety responses. Even if they cannot, listening to them over and over will provide more instruction so that they can come to mind automatically when a dangerous situation presents itself.
