NATIONAL FAMILY
COMMUNICATION INITIATIVE

|
What is the National Family Communication Initiative? The National Family Communication Initiative is a privately held effort of Dick Wulf, MSW, LCSW, a Colorado Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 42 years of professional experience as a psychotherapist, past Program Director of a large community health center, game designer and book author. Jean Wulf, MSW, LCSW, Dick's wife of 45 years, is also involved. At the end of his career Dick is attempting to encourage and aid local organizations in helping the families in their areas develop better and better relationships, especially through dialogue communication. Resources usually come in fun, game format. They include hundreds of dialogue starters aimed at both (a) drawing families closer for better emotional health and more happiness which can reduce crime, and (b) giving kids a lot of verbal, thinking, and problem-solving skills for lifetime success. Dick Wulf also wants this to be a source of revenue for organizations struggling to do good in their communities. That is why it is not a non-profit effort. This is a "bottom-up" effort designed to demonstrate what can happen outside of government-sponsored and paid-for programs. Instead of depending upon tax dollars, private citizens and non-governmental organizations can do much to address the problems of America. Without the complicated red tape of governmental programs individuals, small companies, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations can respond quicker and often initiate very creative solutions that often get bogged down in bureaucracy. This having been said, NFCI is more than willing to work with governmental groups on common purposes.
